Bank of England is looking into disposing of UK government debt assets


The Bank of England is studying how to dispose of the assets it holds. After research and judgment, it believes that it is appropriate to reduce its holdings and sell related assets before the end of the year; the Bank of England currently holds 19.3 billion pounds of British government bond assets; plans to start on November 29 Sell the underlying asset; will accept bids from any side based on its own will; asset sales must be conducted in an orderly manner; sales will be driven by demand, not at a fixed pace; the reason for selling Treasury bonds based on demand is to reduce the need for the market Shock; detailed notice to be issued in the week of Nov. 21; FPC has welcomed the asset sale plan.
