Nearly two-thirds of respondents said the U.S. economy is in recession
According to the "Capitol Hill" report on November 2, local time, a poll launched by the US political information website Politico and the polling agency Morning Consult showed that nearly two-thirds of the respondents participating in the poll believed that the US economy is currently in decline. According to the report, 65% of respondents said they believe the economy has entered a recession, while 22% said the opposite. By party, 81 percent of Republicans, 63 percent of independents, and 51 percent of Democrats said the U.S. economy is already in recession.
